Dota 2 New Behaviour Score Summary Update 2024

Dota 2 recently released a new update on the conduct summary. Before this update, the behavior score worked simply. It started from 1 to 10,000. People with low behavior scores would find a match against players with similar scores and the matchmaking time is also increased. A 7000 behavior score is okay to play ranked games but below that, the gameplay becomes totally toxic and unplayable.

This new summary system works a little differently. In the old behavior summary, players could report other players during the game and the effect would take place after a few days when that report is inspected but now with this new update, if you see that your teammates are continuously doing trash talk and pinging you all the time you can simply report them and it will take effect right away. The new system will observe and detect that the report is valid that player will be muted right away and that player won’t be able to use any modes of communication.

Now in this new update, the behavior score is divided into two parts. The first is the behavior score and the second is the communication score.

 Behavior score affects:

  • 3000 – Ranked matchmaking
  • 5000 – In-game pausing
  • 7000 – Post-game drops
  • 10000 – Coaching

Communication score affects:

  • 3000 – Messaging in-game hindered
  • 6000 – Text chat
  • 7000 – Tipping
  • 8000 – Voice chat
  • 10000 – Coaching, Pinging ally abilities

Personalized matchmaking

With the recent update, after every game players are given an option of “like and dislike” the players. Liking the player will increase the chance of getting them in your matches (either in your team or against) and disliking will ensure players you’d prefer not to play with, for whatever reason, are less likely to show up in future matches.
